The strategic Vinnova initiative Material Based Competition was established to strengthen Swedish growth companies with means to improve material manufacturing. Vinnova has decided to grant an application from 10MD and its partners within plastic and textile industry. The purpose is to increase production capacity to meet market demands for NAFT, a 10MD patented radiation protection material. The project has a total budget of 2,6 million SEK.

Vinnova is the Swedish governmental agency for innovation systems with the mission to boost sustainable growth. This is primarily executed by funding innovation and research related projects.
10MD has developed a revolutionary material - NAFT - to address the need for comfortable and hygienic radiation protection garments by healthcare staff. NAFT is patented and constitutes of a woven and breathable fabric with attenuating capacity and protects the user from harmful radiation. The first product was recently clinically validated by customers at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and Regional Hospital Halland in Sweden.
